Hendra/Ahsan And Bagas/Fikri To The Quarter-finals Of The Korea Open 2022, Leo/Daniel Stopped
JAKARTA – Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan penetrated the quarter-finals of the Korea Open 2022. The veteran men's doubles pair got tickets easily because their opponent withdrew.
The Daddies played just eight minutes at the Palma Indoor Stadium on Thursday, April 7th. The Indonesian representatives were in an 8-5 lead when their Indian opponents MR Arjun/Dhruv Kapila withdrew due to injury.
Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri's men's doubles also successfully followed their seniors to the last eight. The 2022 All England champion pair defeated their compatriots Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Rambitan through a fierce match in three sets 15-21, 21-15, and 21-12.
Unfortunately, that success could not be followed by the men's doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin. The pair had to stop in the round of 16 after receiving defeat to sixth seed Malaysia Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi.
From the men's doubles, Indonesia still has the opportunity to pass one more representative, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto. The pair are yet to play against Malaysia's Tan Kian Meng/Tan Wee Kiong as of this writing.
