5 Persebaya Surabaya Players Received Calls To The U-23 Indonesian National Team, One Of Them Is Former Warkop Guard
JAKARTA - Persebaya Surabaya announced that five of their players received a call to join the U-23 Indonesian National Team. The summons was received by the team management on Tuesday, April 5 yesterday.
The five players are Ernando Ari, Rizky Ridho, Marselino Ferdinand, Koko Ari and Andhika Ramadhani. The first three names have become subscribers to the Garuda Squad.
Meanwhile, Koko Ari has been absent from the national team for a long time due to an ACL injury. Now, he is ready to repay coach Shin Tae-yong's trust.
While Andhika Ramadhani, this is the first summons. He did not expect to get the opportunity to join the training camp with the Indonesian national team.
"Defending the national team is the dream of all footballers, of course, I am very happy. I will not waste this opportunity", Andhika told the club's official website.
Andhika naturally never thought this could happen. Because he started his career from the bottom. In fact, Andhika had time to take care of his family's coffee shop so he could still practice soccer.
In the 2021/2022 Indonesian League 1 competition, Andhika was even the third goalkeeper. However, he became a mainstay in the second series and recorded seven clean sheets in 17 appearances.
The plan is that the U-23 Indonesian National Team will hold a training camp in South Korea from 8 to 29 April 2022. Later, this team will be prepared to participate in the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi.
