Monitoring Of KTR, Makassar City Non-Smoking Area Task Force Targets Pete-Pete Public Transportation

MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Non-Smoking Area Task Force (KTR Task Force) has again monitored the No-Smoking Area. This time, the KTR Task Force targeted the pete-pete (angkot) located at the Mallengkeri terminal.

This activity is a form of follow-up to the implementation of Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 4 of 2013 concerning Non-Smoking Areas (KTR) in Makassar City.

Head of the Non-Communicable Diseases and Mental Health Section, Makassar City Health Office, Adi Novrisa Perdana, said that inspections were a routine activity carried out by the Non-Smoking Area Task Force Team to monitor and supervise non-smoking areas.

"Pete-pete is one of the Non-Smoking Areas regulated by regional regulation number 4 of 2013." he said, Friday, March 1.

The task force team consisting of the Makassar City Government collaborated with the Hasanuddin CONTACT team to disseminate information on smoke-free Makassar public transportation or "Pete-pete".

KTR monitoring is carried out by the KTR Task Force team, this is also integrated with the COVID-19 health protocol. The Makassar City Health Office invites the public to implement a No-Smoking Area which has been designated a no-smoking area in the city of Makassar.

"Come on, let's take care of each other by reminding each other not to smoke in any place and still comply with the COVID-19 Health Protocol," said Adi Novrisa.

In addition to public transportation in Makassar City, the KTR task force team also monitors places of worship, schools, and restaurants in Makassar.
