Motorbike And Car Users Complain About The Rp3,500 Increase In Pertamax Price, Except For The UMR Increase
TANGERANG - Starting today, PT Pertamina Persero has officially increased the price of Pertamax fuel to Rp. 12,500 from the previous Rp. 9,000. There were various kinds of responses from users.
According to VOI monitoring at the Pertamina General Sudirman gas station, Tangerang, Friday, April 1, at 11.19 WIB, long lines were seen to purchase pertalite fuel, either two or four wheels. They are willing to queue long to get the fuel.
Meanwhile, for Pertamax fuel, there is no long queue. Only 2-3 cars were seen queuing up for that type of fuel.
Heru, one of the car users, admitted that he did not agree with the increase in Pertamax fuel. According to him, the percentage for the increase in fuel is fairly high.
"I think it's too high, almost 35 percent if I'm not mistaken. It's even more difficult in my opinion. Now if it goes up like this, it's even more difficult," said Heru when met at Pertamina gas station Karawaci, Friday, April 1.
Teguh, a motorcycle user, said that the increase in Pertamax fuel would have an impact on the balance in Indonesia. This will make food and other items will increase.
He hopes the government can find other solutions so as not to raise prices so high. Teguh admitted that he agreed that Pertamax fuel would be increased if the regional drinking wage (UMR) was increased.
"The hope is not too high, it's better to just be rich before. Unless the UMR salary is increased, it will be balanced," he said.
As is known, Pertamina released the increase in the price of Pertamax in 34 provinces from the previous Rp. 9,000 to Rp. 9,400 per liter. And today, April 1st, the price of Pertamax is already IDR 12,500 per liter.
Meanwhile, subsidized fuel such as pertalite did not change in price or was fixed at a price of IDR 7,650 per liter.
