BNPT Survey Shows High Potential For Radicalism In Women
TARAKAN - The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) assessed that the index of potential for radicalism among women tends to be high, based on the results of a survey conducted in 2020.
"Referring to the results of a survey by the National Counter-Terrorism Agency in 2020, that the index of potential for radicalism tends to be higher among women," said BNPT Finance Coordinator Syaiful Rachman while reading the remarks of the Head of BNPT, Commissioner-General Police (Komjen Pol.) Boy Ramli Amar at the Community Involvement in Prevention of Terrorism event in Tarakan, Thursday, March 31.
Apart from women, he added, the potential for radicalism also tends to be high in urbanites, the younger generation, both Generation Z and millennials, as well as those who are active on the internet and social media.
"This means that these four entities must be watched out for and continue to be the main targets in carrying out counter-radicalism and increasing date power because they are quite vulnerable to exposure to radicalism," he said in an event themed "Top Women Viral Peace".
In this context, he continued, it is undeniable that the position of women is very vital in the family and even in the life of the wider community.
