Governor Viktor And NTT Citizens Mourn: Wilson Anderson Here Sacrificed In His Service For The Nation And Country

NTT - The Governor of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, emphasized that member of the Marine Praka Mupe Task Force (Posthumous), Wilson Anderson Here, had sacrificed as a martyr to protect the country's sovereignty.

"The provincial government of NTT is deeply saddened by the loss of an extraordinary marine who sacrificed in his service for the nation and state", said NTT Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat as reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 29.

Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat visited the funeral home on the evening of Monday, March 28, to pay respects to a member of the Marine Praka Mupe Task Force (Posthumously) Wilson Anderson Here who was one of the victims of the shooting by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Nduga, Papua.

Governor Viktor said that on the other hand, NTT felt sad but also proud because of the presence of Marine Wilson who served in the Papua region sacrificed as a martyr to protect the country's sovereignty.

"The government and people of NTT convey their condolences to the family", said Viktor.

He said the sacrifices of the deceased and his fallen comrades were certainly not in vain but could lead to peace in Papua later.

NTT Governor Viktor hopes that the Central Government can pay attention to taking constructive steps so that the problems in Papua can end and there will be no more victims.

"As the Governor of NTT, he wants him to be buried in Taman Makan Pahlawan because he is a state soldier who died while serving in a conflict area. However, from the family side, he wants to be buried here, so we also respect the family's decision", he said.

Praka Wilson Anderson Here was one of two TNI soldiers who died in the shooting of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Nduga, Papua, last Saturday, March 26.
