Assets Owned By M Nazaruddin Until The Ex-President Of PKS Was Given By KPK To The State, There Is Land And Shophouses

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will hand over looted state assets through the determination of use status (PSP) and grants from the corruption case that ensnared Fuad Amin, Lutfhi Hasan Ishaaq, and Muhammad Nazaruddin.

Acting (Plt) KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri, said the assets would be given to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) and the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

"Today, the KPK has an agenda for handing over the determination of the use status (PSP) and grants of a number of assets seized by the KPK to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of ATR/BPN RI. In addition, assets are also given to the Bangkalan Regency Government, East Java, and North Tapanuli Regency Government, North Sumatra Province," said Ali.

Ali conveyed that the assets in question were in the form of land, buildings, and several vehicles in the corruption case of the convicts Fuad Amin, Lutfhi Hasan Ishaaq, and M Nazaruddin.

To follow up on the asset handover agenda, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly and Minister of ATR/BPN RI Sofyan Djalil visited the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday 24 March.

"We were invited by the KPK leadership to receive assets confiscated from corruption cases. There are buildings, land, shop houses, and vehicles. They were handed over to be used, one of them by the Ministry of ATR/BPN," Sofyan Djalil told reporters.

Fuad Amin is a former Bangkalan Regent who became a suspect in the development of cases of giving and receiving gifts or promises related to facilities or permits to leave the Sukamiskin Correctional Institution (Lapas).

However, the investigation into the case was stopped, because Fuad died while the investigation was ongoing.

Then, Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq is a former President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) who was convicted in a bribery case related to the handling of cattle import quotas and the crime of money laundering (TPPU). He has been serving a sentence of 18 years since 2014.

Then, Muhammad Nazaruddin is a former General Treasurer of the Democratic Party who became a defendant in the Wisma Atlet corruption case in 2011 as well as gratification and money laundering.

On June 14, 2020, Nazaruddin was released from the Sukamiskin Prison. The release was carried out after he was appointed as a justice collaborator by the KPK.
