COVID-19 Update As Of March 23: 6.376 New Cases From Examination Of 166.426 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 166.426 specimens were examined with the results of 6.376 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5.981.022 people and active cases have fallen by 12.563 to 168.563 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, March 23.
Today's recovered cases increased by 19.209 cases, bringing the total to 5.658.238 people recovered. Then, there were 159 confirmed positive cases and a total of 154.221 people.
The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 1.262 cases and a total of 1.091.786 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 1.235 new cases with a total of 1.231.444 cases. Central Java has 750 new cases and a total of 620.629 cases. Then, East Java with 440 new cases and a total of 571.019 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 7.161 recovered cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 1.562 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 1,240 recovered cases and DKI Jakarta with an additional 975 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 90.875.762.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.24 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 11.655 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 195.229.531 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 156.139.516 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
