Police Arrest 9.2 Kilogram Drug Dealer In Malang
MALANG - The Malang City Police Team in collaboration with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Malang City arrested a drug dealer with the initials PT, the owner of 9.2 kilograms of drugs.
Malang City Police Chief, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said that from the suspect's hands, the joint team seized 2.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 6.5 kilograms of dried marijuana.
This arrest is an extension of the previous case. The suspect PT, who is a resident of Sumbermanjing Wetan, Malang Regency, is a private worker who was arrested by the Malang City Police Narcotics Unit as a result of developing a case with the suspect MRZ.
According to Budi, in the case with the suspect MRZ, officers obtained evidence in the form of two packs of methamphetamine weighing 16.06 grams. Then, the officers carried out the development and found the suspect PT who stored 2.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 6.5 kilograms of marijuana.
The Malang City Police Chief said that based on the suspect's statement, PT, he got the items in the form of methamphetamine and marijuana from a person with the initials BG who is currently still being searched by police officers.
"The suspect PT claimed to have received supplies from a person with the initials BG who is currently a DPO. The suspect has been acting from December 2021 to March 2022 in stages", he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 23.

The suspect PT was charged with Article 112 paragraph (2) and Article 111 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of five years and a maximum of twenty years.
In addition, he was also charged with a minimum fine of IDR 800 million to IDR 8 billion.
