Bengkulu Police Arrested Drug Dealers Bengkulu-West Sumatra Network
MUKOMUKO - The Drug Unit of the Mukomuko Resort Police (Polres) of the Bengkulu Police arrested a person with the initials AN for allegedly being a drug dealer across the Bengkulu-West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra).
"This suspect is a drug dealer networked in the Provinces of West Sumatra and Bengkulu," said Head of the Mukomuko Police, Witdiardi, represented by the Head of Drugs at the Mukomuko Police, Iptu Teguh Budiyanto, in Mukomuko, Wednesday, March 23.
He said suspect AN (38), a resident of Sibak Village, Ipuh District, was arrested while in his rented room in Medan Jaya Village, Ipuh District.
AN's arrest stems from reports from the local community and the results of the development of drug cases from previously arrested drug suspects.
He said the search results found three small packages of methamphetamine, wrapped in plastic seed clips, which were put in red plastic pipettes.
Two small packages of suspected shabu-shabu wrapped in clear plastic clips that were put in white plastic pipettes and other items related to narcotics.
He said, based on information from the suspect, he had been a drug dealer for the past year.
Furthermore, he said again, based on the results of the information provided by the suspect, further action would be taken to look for other suspects who acted as cross-provincial drug dealers in this area.

For this action, AN was charged with Article 114 paragraph 1 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 1 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum imprisonment of four years and a maximum of 12 years.
The local resort police are targeting to be able to uncover as many as 16 cases of drug abuse by 2022, an increase from the target set this year as many as 16 cases.
