Having No Money, Indonesian Citizens From Makassar In Malaysia Are Desperate To Go Home On Foot Lost In The Forest
JAKARTA - An Indonesian worker (TKI) from Makassar City, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), Syamsuddin (51) disappeared in the Nagari Sarawak forest, Malaysia.
Syamsuddin was lost when he was about to return to Long Bawan, Krayan District, Indonesia on foot through the forest. This was done by Syamsuddin because he did not have the money to return to Indonesia. The victim is known to have worked at Lawas Negeri Sarawak for one year.
Luckily, after a six-day search, Syamsuddin was found. Syamsuddin was found by Malaysian forest measurement officers.
Nunukan SAR coordinator, Anggi Endra said, Syamsuddin disappeared at Lawas Negeri Sarawak on September 16 and was found on Wednesday, September 23.
"Yes, I got information that the victim was found by the Malaysian forest surveyor who was safe," Anggi said, confirmed by journalists, as reported by Antara, Thursday, September 24.
According to him, Syamsuddin was found under a tree in a weak state because he never ate. The location of the discovery of the victim is still in the territory of Malaysia, precisely in the forest of Bario Lawas Negeri Sarawak.
Information from the victim's biological child, named Ningsih, confirmed that her parents were found safe even though they were weak because they had not eaten for six days.
"Yes, my father was found by Malaysian officers in the Bario Forest," said Ningsih (22). The truth of the discovery of the survivor, he said, was because it was his father who directly called his wife who lived in Makassar on Wednesday afternoon at around 18.30 WITA.
However, Ningsih explained, his father was still being accommodated at the Malaysian forest official's house to be secured until his body was normal. "My father is still at the house of the (Malaysian) officer who found it," he said.
