North Morowali Deputy Regent Wants Principals Of Elementary And Middle Schools To Be Careful In Managing BOS Funds Later In Law Enforcement
MORUT - Deputy Regent of North Morowali (Morut) of Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng) H. Djira K asked all principals of elementary school (SD) and junior high school (SMP) to be careful in managing School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds.
"You have to be careful both in planning and in managing and reporting the use of these funds," said Djira during the socialization of reports on the use of regular BOS funds and regional BOS funds at the elementary and junior high school education unit levels in North Morowali, Antara, Monday, March 21.
He didn't want school principals and school treasurers in the area to get into legal trouble because they mismanaged BOS funds and were not managed according to their allocation.
According to him, the use, distribution and reporting of the use of BOS funds is very risky and can plunge parties who are trusted to manage these funds into legal cases.
"The principal must be fully responsible for the management of the BOS funds. Don't delegate everything to the treasurer to manage it. And vice versa, don't let the treasurer take over the principal's authority," he said.
He believes that the funds can be managed according to their designation and channeled on target to those who are truly entitled to receive the funds so that the quality of education in the area will increase.
"There are also school principals who fully hand over the management of the BOS funds starting from determining the recipient and the nominal given to the operator. It is up to the operator to write down the amount of the BOS funds used. This is also not true," Djira reminded.
On that occasion, Djira also reminded the importance of the education sector in realizing the vision and mission of the North Morowali Regency Government, namely realizing a healthy, intelligent and prosperous North Morowali community.
Without the active role of school principals and educators in the area, it is impossible for the people of North Morowali to be intelligent from various aspects.
