Ensure Communication Network At MotoGP Mandalika Is Smooth, Minister Of Communication And Information: Upload Speed 100 Mbps, Download 25 Mbps

JAKARTA - The Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate ensures that communication network connectivity at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia or MotoGP Mandalika 2022 is smooth.

"Based on speed measurements, the telecommunications network provided is very fast and very adequate for the needs during the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP," Johnny G Plate said in a written statement, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 20.

In full, the internet access speed of the 4G network for uploading or uploading activities is in the range of 100 Mbps. Then the activity of downloading or downloading in the range of 25 Mbps.

Meanwhile, 5G network internet access for upload activities is in the range of 788 Mbps and download activities are in the range of 127 Mbps.

The Minister of Communication and Information explained that his party provided four telecommunication backbone networks, namely one main network and three backup networks.

With the synergy between the backbone networks, he said, access to telecommunication connectivity becomes faster.

"This is extraordinary, which illustrates that the connectivity built by Kominfo is well connected," he said.

In its service, Kominfo also provides additional special frequency spectrums, namely by granting temporary licenses in the 3.5 Gigabyte (GB) frequency spectrum for 4G.

Meanwhile, for the 5G network, the Ministry of Communication and Information has given a temporary permit on the 2.3 GB frequency which is specifically given for the Mandalika event. "Providing temporary license services for frequency spectrum," he said. Furthermore, Johnny said that all these steps will continue to be carried out optimally in the future by cooperating with a number of stakeholders.

Thus, the synergized telecommunications networks can provide support to each other.

As a result, telecommunications networks throughout Indonesia, including in Mandalika, can be used optimally and used for productive activities by all elements of society everywhere.

"We are optimistic that the next telecommunications network connectivity in the future will be better," he said.

However, the Minister of Communication and Informatics asked the public to understand if there are obstacles to smooth communication. Due to the use of network access at the same time by many users.

"Although the capacity is already large, if it is used by many people at the same time, there may be some obstacles, please understand," said Johnny.
