RSUI Gets The First Mobile Digital X-ray Device In Indonesia

DEPOK - University of Indonesia Hospital (RSUI) had the first opportunity to try installing a mobile digital X-ray with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, namely FDR Nano.

The President Director of RSUI, Astuti Giantini said, with the presence of the FDR Nano installation, RSUI's health workers can improve their services so that in the future it can be proof that the quality of health services in Indonesia is increasingly sophisticated, fast, and easily accessible to the public.

"Installation of innovative devices in our hospital will greatly support the health services provided to patients," said dr. Astuti at a press conference at RSUI, Depok, reported by Antara, Friday, March 18.

The presence of this tool is a collaboration between RSUI and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) through FUJIFILM Indonesia to support development programs and health services at RSUI.

The FDR Nano installation can help health professionals diagnose several diseases such as Atelectasis, Calcification, Fibrosis, Nodules, Pleural Effusion, Cardiomegaly, Pneumothorax, and so on through X-rays.

So far, X-rays for patients have to be carried out with large equipment and in a certain room, so sick patients have to travel to the nearest hospital, and patients in the hospital have to move to a special room.

However, as the name implies, namely Mobile Digital X-Ray, the FDR Nano is easier to move so that patients can remain in their respective places. The time needed to take X-rays is faster, with precise and accurate results.

Haruto Iwata, Managing Director of FUJIFILM Asia Pacific said this FDR Nanotechnology is the result of FUJIFILM's long journey in the health sector. From various parts of the world, including Asia-Pacific, they appreciate one of the superior innovations presented by FUJIFILM.
