Sad News From Garut, Three People Died Due To COVID-19, 1,244 People In Total
GARUT - The Garut COVID-19 Handling Task Force conveyed that there were three more deaths from COVID-19 patients in Garut Regency, West Java, bringing the total to 1,244 cases since it was declared a pandemic.
"There have been three more confirmed cases of confirmed COVID-19 deaths," said Public Relations of the Garut COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Yeni Yunita in Garut, as reported by Antara, Thursday, March 17.
She conveyed that the COVID-19 patients who died were all women, aged 72, residents of Garut City Subdistrict, with the status of one dose of vaccination.
Furthermore, a 49-year-old resident of Leuwigoong Sub-district, and a 31-year-old resident of Sukawening District with unvaccinated status.
Yeni said the COVID-19 outbreak in Garut Regency is still happening, every day there are still reported cases of death and new cases confirmed positive for COVID-19.

In the latest report on Wednesday, March 16, she said, based on the results of the PCR swab test, 34 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 were found, and the antigen results for people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients were 26 people.
"Thus, the results of the verification and validation of case data total 60 cases," she said.
Even though there are new cases, Yeni said, there are also cases of COVID-19 patients who have finished self-isolation or in hospital until they are declared cured and can return to their normal activities.
"Positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been monitored, an increase of 132 people," said Yeni.
Overall positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Garut were 30,256 cases, consisting of 863 cases of self-isolation, 94 cases of isolation in hospital, 28,055 cases declared cured and 1,244 cases died.
