Promises On Social Media, Brawl Between Two Groups Breaks Up In Palmerah, 1 Youth Dies When Stabbed With Sharp Weapons

JAKARTA - A young man with the initials RY (22) finally died due to a brawl that took place in RW 09, Jati Pulo Village, Palmerah District, West Jakarta.

The victim had gunshot wounds to the chest and several other bodies. The victim's life was lost on the way to Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta.

West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner of Police Taufik Iksan, confirmed that there was a brawl that took RY's life.

"The initial incident was discovered when there was a report from Tarakan Hospital security to the West Jakarta Metro Police that a brawl occurred and caused a fatality," said Commissioner of Police Taufik when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, March 16, evening.

Then the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) checked and processed the crime scene (TKP). The inspection was led directly by the Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation at the West Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner of Police Niko Purba.

From the results of the crime scene, the police managed to uncover the motive for the brawl that killed a young man. According to information obtained by the police, the brawl occurred because the perpetrators made an agreement with each other on social media.

"After making an appointment on social media, the two groups attacked each other using sharp weapons and blunt objects and caused the victim to be identified as RY (22)," said Commissioner of Police Niko.

Currently, the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim are still pursuing the brawlers.

"Members have moved to chase the perpetrators. In less than 24 hours, hopefully they can catch the brawlers," he concluded.
