Lampung Police Chief Inspects Cooking Oil Supplies
BANDAR LAMPUNG - Lampung Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Hendro Sugiatno, conducted a surprise inspection of the PT Tunas Baru Lampung warehouse located on Yos Sudarso Street, Bumi Waras, Telukbetung, Bandarlampung, to see the stock and production of cooking oil.
"We had discussions with PT Tunas Baru Lampung and had time to monitor the cooking oil packaging process. After the discussion, we make sure that cooking oil stocks in Lampung are safe," he said in Bandarlampung on Tuesday 15 March.
He continued that the consumption of Lampung people's cooking oil per month reached six million liters, while the product of all oil producers in Lampung per month reached nine million liters.
"So at this inspection, we want to ensure that the distribution of cooking oil stocks in every market in Lampung is sufficient," he said.
The Police Chief also asked the public not to panic and buy up excess cooking oil and even stockpile oil.
"Because of wholesalers of oil, it is feared that people will hoard oil. The point is that the people of Lampung don't panic, I guarantee that the stock of cooking oil is safe," he said.
He emphasized that the police will take firm action if there are people who hoard oil and even sell cooking oil at the highest retail price (HET).

"I make sure that the distribution of cooking oil in Lampung goes directly from the company to retail stores, so there is no long distribution chain. Moreover, the production of cooking oil at PT Tunas Baru is around 120 thousand liters a day," he said.
The Marketing Division of Tunas Baru Lampung, Agus Kurniawan said, by the end of February 2022, PT Tunas Baru Lampung had distributed three million liters of packaged oil throughout Lampung.
The distribution of cooking oil also cooperates with the government to supervise the distribution of cooking oil.
"We also get a supply of raw materials from PT Perusahaan Indonesia as much as 500 tons. Meanwhile, Tunas Baru can currently produce 100 tons per day or 100 to 120 thousand liters per day. The capacity could reach 300 tons per day, but it depends to supply owned by DMO. So this week it can only be 100 tons," he said.
