Booked For Fun, Transgender From Makassar Breaks US Caucasian Credit Card In Denpasar

DENPASAR - A transgender from Makassar, South Sulawesi, with the initials AI (40) was arrested by the police for breaking into a villa and stealing valuables belonging to a foreign citizen (WNA) from the United States, Robert Lee Booner, JR.

"The modus operandi is breaking into empty villas at night and damaging the safety box installation", said South Denpasar Police Chief, Commissioner I Gede Sudyatmaja, at the South Denpasar Police Headquarters, Tuesday, March 15.

The incident occurred at Danau Poso Villa Street, Sanur Kauh, South Denpasar on February 10.

The victim just learned of the break-in at the villa because the safety box containing valuables such as jewelry, 1,200 US dollars including credit cards was lost.

"For a loss of approximately IDR 20 million and the victim reported it to the police", added Sudyatmaja.

The police immediately investigated this case and found transactions using the victim's credit card. The police also arrested the perpetrator.

"The credit card was used by the person concerned for shopping", he said.

During the investigation, the suspect admitted that he was disappointed in the victim. But it was not explained by the perpetrator, what was meant by disappointment.

"The motive is because the person concerned is disappointed with the Caucasian for doing that (theft). He was indeed booked for sexual services, he is already transgender", said Sudyatmaja.

The perpetrator is also known to be a recidivist of the same case in the Bali area. Perpetrators are indeed targeting foreigners
