Tomorrow, Jokowi Will Meet MotoGP Racers, From Marc Marquez To Takaaki Nakagami
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will meet with MotoGP racers competing at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
"The president will have an audience tomorrow with the MotoGP racers competing in Mandalika", said Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, in a written statement, Tuesday, March 15.
There were a dozen names of racers who attended the meeting. They are Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Maverick Vinales, Alex Marquez, to Takaaki Nakagami.
These racers, continued Heru, will be present with the racing motorbikes that they will use to compete. After the meeting, President Jokowi is scheduled to release them to carry out a convoy to the HI roundabout, Jakarta.
"So for tomorrow, the President will only have an audience and after that, he will release the racers with their own racing motorbikes. The president did not participate in the convoy", he said.
Understanding the wishes of the people who want to witness the arrival of the racers, Heru explained that the Presidential Secretariat will broadcast the event live through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account.
"For tomorrow's event, we will broadcast live streaming through the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account starting at 09.30 WIB", said Heru.

Meanwhile, Dorna Sport explained the presence of MotoGP racers in Jakarta before competing in Mandalika, as a form of appreciation for the Indonesian government's hard work in preparing MotoGP in Indonesia.
“And this is the first year of 10 years of cooperation. Therefore, out of our respect, the racers will meet with President Joko Widodo tomorrow. We also thank you for your time, Mr. President", said Dorna Sports Chief Sporting Officer, Carlos Ezpeleta.
