Ganjar Pranowo's Promise To Support Mangkunegara X To Make The Palace A Cultural Center

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo supports Mangkunegaran Temple as a cultural center. The palace has noble values that must be maintained and propagated, for the common good.

"I, from the provincial government, am of course ready to support so that later the palace becomes a center of culture, art, high values, and then it can be spread for good," said Ganjar at Pura Mangkunegaran, Surakarta a few days ago as in a written statement received on Monday, March 14.

This is in line with what was conveyed by Gusti Pangeran Hario (GPH) Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo, during the jumenengan or coronation ceremony as Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Ario (KGPAA) Mangkunagoro X at Pendapa Agung Pura Mangkunegaran.

Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo has been named Sampeyan Ingkang Jumeneng (SIJ) KGPAA Mangkunagoro X, after his father, KGPAA Mangkunagoro IX, passed away on August 13, 2021. The figure born in 1997 was named the leader of Pura Mangkunegaran, at a fairly young age.

In his speech, Bhre mentioned several future plans, including revitalizing Pura Mangkunegaran as a cultural center.

"Earlier his speech was good, bringing culture. I think it is important to return to a kind of palace revitalization so that the palace becomes the center of culture. Then people will be able to come, with nobility and values that might be given," said Ganjar.

According to Ganjar Pranowo, age is not a problem. Ganjar explained that the spirit of Bhre Cakrahutomo is very suitable, especially to develop the palace as a cultural center.

"Age doesn't matter, I'm an adult. I had a short chat with him. I think his spirit is suitable for developing it," he explained.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, the King of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta and the Governor of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, the Duke of Puro Pakualaman and the Deputy Governor of DIY KGPAA Paku Alam X, and the King of the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace SISKS Pakubuwono XIII and the Crown Prince of the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace KGPH Purbaya were also present at this event.
