Eight Teenagers In West Jakarta Arrested During A Fight, Some Evidence Confiscated

JAKARTA - The Precise Pioneer Patrol Team (TPPP) of the West Jakarta Metro Police arrested six teenagers who were about to take part in a brawl on Jalan Tubagus Angke Street, West Jakarta, Sunday, March 13, at dawn.

"They were arrested after officers received reports from the public that a group of teenagers was going to fight on Jalan Tubagus Angke, West Jakarta", said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta, Commissioner Slamet Riyanto, when confirmed by reporters, Sunday, March 13, afternoon.

After securing them, the teenagers were handed over to the Tanjung Duren Police for further processing.

The patrol was then resumed. The officers again found another group of students in the Cengkareng TL area, West Jakarta. At the time of the arrest, officers only arrested two teenagers. The rest managed to escape.

From this location, officers confiscated evidence of six sickle blades, a golf club, a cellphone, and a motorbike. The two teenagers and the evidence were handed over to the Cengkareng Police for further examination.

"In total there are eight teenagers who were secured from two different locations. They are suspected of being involved in a brawl", he said.

Commissioner Slamet said this patrol activity was an effort to prevent street crime and follow up on community reports.
