5-Year-Old Boy Has Been Successfully Lifted From The Bottom Of The Lake, Breathes Again After Pumping His Chest And Mouth
JAKARTA - Residents around Lake Setu Babakan, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta panicked when they found out that a 5-year-old boy had drowned in the lake. In fact, so panicked, one of the residents threw himself trying to save the boy.
The boy named Fahri was finally successfully lifted from the bottom of the lake by one of the residents who threw himself in to help him. Fahri breathed again after his chest and mouth were pumped by one of the volunteers. While the boy's mother could do nothing but cry beside him. She was afraid that her son would not breathe.
Aziz, a local resident, said that the incident occurred on Thursday, March 10, at 13.30 western Indonesia time.
"He's the son of a dumpling maker, not a resident here. So I don't know, I think the pond is shallow,” said Azis, Thursday, March 10.
Aziz said that when he learned that a child had drowned in Lake Setu Babakan, he immediately threw himself in to help him. Azis said, it was a coincidence that his position was close to the lake and he took the initiative to help him.
"Fahri was found, but he was unconscious. The water has entered his lungs," said Azis.

After being successfully removed, Aziz tried to pump Fahri's chest to remove the water that had entered his lungs. Meanwhile, other residents who saw it helped suck water from the victim's mouth.
"The victim finally survived, he was coughing after being helped," said Azis.
Meanwhile, Jagakarsa Police Chief, Commissioner of Police Aba Wahid Key confirmed the incident. Now the victim is being treated at Andika Hospital, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
"It has been handled at Andika Hospital. Hopefully, nothing will happen," Wahid said when confirmed, Thursday, March 10.
With this incident, Wahid appealed to the Setu Babakan management to increase security at the location so that similar incidents do not happen again.
"We convey to the manager to always give advice to visitors not to swim in Setu Babakan," concluded Wahid.
