The Attorney General's Office Confiscates 20 Lands For Suspects In Alleged Corruption Cases At LPEI

JAKARTA - The Investigating Prosecutor's Team at the Directorate of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office (AGO) confiscated assets belonging to the suspect in the LPEI corruption case with the initials JD in the form of 20 plots of land and buildings on it.

"With a total of 66,414 square meters in Kedunganyar and Sumberame Village, Wringinanom District, Gresik Regency, East Java," said Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information (Kapuspen Kejagung) Ketut Sumedana in a written statement received in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, March 10.

The buildings that stand on the land are the PT Summit Paper and PT Gunung Gilead Paper Mills. The confiscation was carried out by the Attorney General's team based on the Decree of the Chairperson of the Gresik District Court Number 80/Pen.Pid/2022/PN.Gsk dated February 24, 2022.

"Against the assets of the suspect that have been confiscated, an assessment will then be carried out by the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP) to be taken into account as saving state financial losses in the next process," said Ketut Sumedana explaining. are assets belonging to and/or related to the suspect JD in Kedunganyar and Sumberame Village, Wringinanom District, Gresik Regency, East Java.

The suspect JD was suspected of being involved in an alleged corruption crime (tipikor) related to the implementation of national export financing by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) in 2013-2019.

The case is alleged to have caused state losses of approximately Rp. 2.6 trillion.
