Five Days Of PSBB, DKI Provincial Government Temporarily Closes 37 Companies

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) temporarily closed 37 companies when PSBB volume II entered its fifth day.

"In the monitoring and inspection of PSBB compliance until September 18, there were 287 companies that were intercepted and 37 which were temporarily closed," said Head of Jakarta Disnakertransgi Andri Yansyah in his statement, Saturday, September 19.

On the first day of PSBB, 14 September, Disnakertansgi closed 9 companies, the second day closed 1 company, the third day 7 companies, the fourth day 7 companies, and the fifth day 13 companies.

Andri said, 17 companies were closed due to COVID-19 cases. Of the 17 companies, 1 company is located in Central Jakarta, 6 in West Jakarta, 3 in North Jakarta, 3 in East Jakarta, and 4 in South Jakarta.

Then, there were 20 other companies that were temporarily closed because they did not implement health protocols such as limiting the capacity of employees working in offices to a maximum of 25 percent.

"Eight companies that were closed because they did not implement the COVID-19 protocol were in Central Jakarta, 3 companies in West Jakarta, 3 in East Jakarta, and 6 in South Jakarta," said Andri.

In the implementation of the PSBB, Disnakertansgi lowered its ranks by 5 teams in one service clan in each administrative city. In total, there are 25 teams tasked with overseeing offices throughout DKI.

"In the 25 teams, per team we are targeting at least one day to supervise 3 offices," said Andri.

There are three factors to watch for. First, the provision of limitation for employees who work for a maximum of 25 percent of all employees. Second, health protocol compliance. Third, the discovery of employees who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Companies that violate are temporarily closed for 3 x 24 hours in accordance with Governor Regulation Number 79 of 2020 concerning Implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols for Efforts and Control of COVID-19.
