25 Thousand Workers Will Be Injected With Booster Vaccines, National Police Chief: It Is Very Important To Make Sure You Are Healthy
JAKARTA - National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo appreciates the role of workers in helping to accelerate the third dose of COVID-19 vaccination (booster) so that it can protect workers from working optimally during the pandemic.
According to Sigit, workers as the backbone of the country's foreign exchange contributors need to ensure their health conditions so they are not exposed to COVID-19, especially the Omicron variant which spreads quickly.
"Therefore, it is very important to ensure that all fellow workers are in optimal and healthy condition, one of which is because we are currently facing the Omicron variant," said Sigit in a written statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 9.
Sigit directly observed the acceleration of the third dose or booster vaccination for workers who are members of the All-Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI) at PT Fajar Surya Wisesa, Bekasi, West Java.
The acceleration of the third dose of vaccination for workers took place simultaneously at 5,183 points in 34 provinces in Indonesia.
“In one week, the workers will help spend 25 thousand booster vaccines. For that, the police express their appreciation," said Sigit.
He explained that the health of the workers must be optimized in order to face the development of the global situation which has recently experienced an increase in the prices of commodities.
To minimize the risk of existing disturbances, he said, this must be answered by increasing the value of exports from within the country. That way, Indonesia's economic growth rate in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to improve.
"Increase our work productivity so that we can meet domestic needs from the work of fellow workers," said the former Banten Police Chief.
According to him, if workers continue to work optimally, it will increase the value of domestic exports which in the future will increase the country's foreign exchange.
"Of course this requires all of our hard work," said Sigit.

Sigit emphasized that booster vaccination is one of the best efforts to ensure workers' elements are in good health to deal with all forms of SARS-CoV-2 virus variants.
By getting the third dose of vaccination, he said, it would give a person additional immunity or immunity from the COVID-19 virus. Not only that, boosters reduce the fatality rate of someone exposed.
"Thus the productivity of fellow workers is maintained. The key is how all fellow workers, especially workers can get a third vaccine or booster so that we are ready to face the development of a new variant of Omicron," said Sigit.
In addition to reviewing the implementation of the booster vaccine in Bekasi Regency, the National Police Chief gave directions to all regions regarding the virtual handling and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
