Heavy Rain And Strong Winds, 12 Fallen Trees In East Jakarta Area, One Tree Overlaps Resident's Houses
JAKARTA - Heavy rains with strong winds hit the Jakarta area and its surroundings, causing 12 trees to fall in several locations in the East Jakarta area. The incident occurred at 16:20 p.m. when rain and wind began to hit.
Like a fallen tree that occurred in the Ciracas area, East Jakarta. This large tree of the Angsana species suddenly fell and almost closed the entire Supriyadi Highway, from the direction of Kampung Rambutan to the Pasar Rebo Flyover, Susukan, Ciracas District, East Jakarta on Tuesday, March 8.
Luckily there were no casualties in this incident. The Susukan Village PPSU officer who arrived at the location immediately evacuated the tree trunks to several parts using manual tools.
According to the Secretary of Sub-district Head, Teguh Suharyono, in his area, there were 6 trees that fell when it rained on Tuesday, March 8.
"There are several places where fallen trees destroyed houses. We evacuated on public roads first. In Susukan Village, there were 6 trees that fell due to strong winds," he told reporters, Wednesday, March 9.
