Central Aceh Police Arrest Three Suspects In Alleged Village Fund Corruption Cases
BANDA ACEH - The Central Aceh Resort Police (Polres) has named three former village officials in Kekelip Village in Atu Lintang District as suspects in the 2016 case of alleged corruption in village financial management.
"The three suspects are SB (43) as former reje (village head) Kampung Bintang Kekelip, PH (54) as former village secretary, and IPR (32) as former chairman of the TPK (Activity Implementation Team) Kampung Bintang Kekelip," said Head of the Public Relations Section (Kasihumas) of the Central Aceh Police, Commissioner Adjutant of Police Zein Hamid Hasibuan in Takengon, Monday 7 March.
The three former village officials are suspected of being involved in corruption in the management of village finances in 2016, with state losses reaching more than IDR 312 million.
He explained that the suspect SB, as the village head at the time, ordered the village treasurer, NA (deceased) to withdraw funds from the village treasury in a way that was not in accordance with the procedure.
Furthermore, SB also ordered NA to hand over the funds to the suspect IPR as the TPK Chair to carry out development activities and finance village development activities.
However, the funds sourced from the 2016 FY APBN by IPR were directly deposited into his personal account, without completing the obligation to carry out village development according to the village government's work program.
