Beat Sociedad 4-1, Real Madrid Firmly At The Top Of La Liga Standings
JAKARTA - Real Madrid recorded a convincing 4-1 victory when they hosted Real Sociedad in the match week 27 of the Spanish League at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday local time.
Launching Antara, Sunday, Sociedad took the lead through Mikel Oyarzabal's goal. Madrid then turned things around with goals from Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modrid, then sealed the win with two other goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.
With this result, Real Madrid are comfortably at the top of the La Liga standings with 63 points from 27 matches, while Sociedad are in sixth place with 44 points, according to the official La Liga website.

Real Sociedad got a penalty in the 10th minute. The referee pointed to the spot after Dani Carvajal committed a foul on David Silva.
Mikel Oyarzabal who advanced as executor successfully carried out his duties to bring Sociedad 1-0 up. Oyarzabal steered the ball into the bottom corner of the net and out of reach of Thibaut Courtois.
Left behind by one goal, Madrid appeared more aggressive and their efforts paid off in the 40th minute. Eduardo Camavinga fired hard from outside the penalty box to break into Sociedad's goal and make it 1-1.
Madrid had scored two minutes later through Karim Benzema kick. However, the referee annulled the goal because the player was first in an offside position.
Real Madrid turned 2-1 ahead in the 43rd minute. Luka Modric stabbed in from the right and fired a shot from outside the box, which Alex Remiro couldn't stop.
The first half closed with a 2-1 advantage for the home team.
After the break, Madrid immediately dominated possession. Los Blancos got a free kick in front of the penalty box following Rafinha's foul on David Alaba.
Casemiro's shot crossed the Sociedad wall but Remiro made a brilliant save with both hands.
In the 70th minute, Madrid added to their lead through Karim Benzema's goal. However, the goal was again annulled by the referee because Rodrygo was declared offside early in the attack when he received the ball from Benzema.
Madrid were awarded a penalty in the 75th minute following Elustondo's foul on Vinicius. The referee initially awarded a free kick on the edge of the box, but the decision was changed after checking VAR.
Benzema, who advanced as the executor, successfully converted the penalty. The French striker's kick outwit Remiro to bring Madrid 3-1 ahead.
Marco Asensio secured Madrid's victory with a fourth goal in the 79th minute with a first-time shot after receiving Carvajal's cross.
The score 4-1 became the final result of the match and Carlo Ancelotti's troops managed to secure the three points.
