COVID-19 Update As Of March 4th: 26,347 New Cases, Heals Increase 40,462
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 341,631 specimens were examined with the result that there were 26,347 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5,693,702 and active cases have fallen by 14,443 to 517,253 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, March 4.
Cases recovered on the day increased by 40,462 people, bringing the total to 5,026,853 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 328 cases and totaled 149,596 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 5,312 cases and a total of 1,029,839 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 3,727 new cases with a total of 1,191,065 cases. Central Java with 3,324 new cases and a total of 589,330 cases. East Java has 2,331 new cases and a total of 547,550 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 6,070 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 5,554 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 5,452 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 4,547 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 86,349,857.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 17.75 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 21,285 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 191,631,442 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 146,554,884 have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 11,457,714. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
