Indonesian Army Investigate Alleged Involvement Of Its Members In The Human Confinement Case In Langkat
JAKARTA - Head of Army Military Police Center of Lieutenant Colonel of the Military Police Corps, Agus Subur Mudjiono, said his party had requested testimony from former occupants of a human cage at the Langkat Regent's official residence regarding the alleged involvement of members of the Indonesian Army.
"The collection of information from witnesses has been carried out, including former occupants of the cage at the Langkat Regent's house, as well as several witnesses who are suspected of knowing this", said the Head of Information for the Army Military Police Center in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday, March 4th.
In addition, Army Military Police Center has also collected information and other evidence related to the names of individual Indonesian Army personnel given by the National Human Rights Commission.
These names are suspected of knowing and/or being involved in the confinement of humans in cages at the official residence of the Langkat Regent.

Agus also said that currently, his party continues to coordinate with the North Sumatra Regional Police, the Langkat Regency Government, and other relevant officials to seek data and information related to the case.
"Until now, the investigation is still ongoing", said Agus.
The Army Military Police Center investigation related to information on the alleged involvement of members of the Indonesian Army in human cages at the house of the inactive Langkat Regent. The issuance of the Warring Angin Plan is a follow-up to the National Human Rights Commission Letter Number 056/SPK-PMT/11/2022 dated February 4, 2022.
The letter contained a request for cooperation related to requests for information regarding the alleged involvement of members of the Indonesian Army in the human cage at the Langkat Regent's Office House.
After receiving the letter, the Central Commander of the Army Military Police (DanArmy Military Police Center) ordered his staff to carry out an investigation.
