The wife of the Jakarta Regional Secretary, Saefullah: Please Donate the Money Instead of Sending Flowers
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, asked all parties not to send condolences flowers to the late DKI Regional Secretary, Saefullah.
Anies said this appeal was a request from Saefullah's wife to be shared to the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, other officials, and the community.
"Continuing the mandate from Mrs. Rusmiati Saefullah, the wife of the late Mr. Saefullsh, the family advised not to send flowers to the funeral home," Anies said in his statement, Wednesday, September 16.
Anies said the Saefullah family hoped that it would be better if the money to buy flowers is allocated for donation.
"The family expressed their hope that the money for flower arrangements are allocated into donations on behalf of the Secretary," said Anies.
Anies also asked the Jakarta Provincial Government to carry out shalat gaib. The shalat gaib is Muslim worship, which is performed remotely to send prayers to people who have died.
"Our brother, our best friend, has been summoned to Rahmatullah. Mr. Saefullah died at 12:55 at the Army Hospital," said Anies.
"Please pray. For all, take ablution water, and this afternoon, we all hold occult prayers for the deceased," he continued.
