Son And Father Who Is Also Former Kendari Mayor Are Free From Prison
KENDARI - Two former Mayors of Kendari Asrun and Adriatma Dwi Putra (ADP), who are father and son, have been released from detention after serving a prison sentence of about 4 years. Both can breathe free air.
Asrun is the father of Adriatma Dwi Putra. Asrun and ADP served confinement after the judge found them guilty of corruption, as charged by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The information gathered stated that ADP only carried out his duties as Mayor of Kendari for about 114 days. His father is Asrun, who four years ago was active in socializing preparations for the 2018 Southeast Sulawesi Governor Election.
The freedom enjoyed today (1 March 2022) by Adriatma Dwi Putra (ADP) and Asrun is the fruit of an extraordinary legal struggle by the two convicted persons.
The Judicial Review (PK) conducted by Asrun and ADP was approved by the Supreme Court, reducing the sentence from about 6 years to 4 years.
ADP was released from the Kolaka detention center, while Asrun was released from the Kendari Correctional Institution (Lapas).
ADP was released from the Kolaka Prison at around 7.00 central Indonesia time, and was released by the Head of the Kolaka Detention Center, Tutut Jemy Setiawan.

After leaving ADP, he was picked up by his wife Siska Karina Imran and his older brother Asrizal Pratama Putra and relatives. ADP used a car with the police number DT 1 SKI leaving the Kolaka detention center for a relative's house.
Arriving at his relative's house, the former mayor of Kendari was greeted by dozens of his relatives who had been waiting since dawn.
ADP's arrival was also greeted by the Regent of Kolaka, Ahmad Syafei, with hugs and other relatives.
