Over A Week, 8 Districts In Central Kalimantan Are Flooded

JAKARTA - Floods still commemorate several sub-districts in Central Kalimantan Province. 8 sub-districts are still flooded with varying water levels. Meanwhile, the flood in Suling Tambun District has receded. This information is based on developments on, Tuesday, September 15, 12.00 WIB.

Reporting from the release of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the Seruyan Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) informed that other sub-districts are still submerged with water levels of 100 to 200 centimeters.

Based on BPBD monitoring, the flood that inundated Tumbang Langkai Village in Suling Tambun District has receded. BPBD also informs the weather today since a cloudy sunny morning.

The impact of the flooding that has occurred since Monday, September 7, has affected more than 4,000 households. BPBD data recorded 4,509 families or 16,459 people affected.

They fled independently. While the material loss, as many as more than 4,000 houses affected. The affected houses were identified in 9 sub-districts, namely Seruyan Tengah, Batu Ampar, Antang Kalang, Marikit, Mentaya Hulu, Seruyan Hulu, Suling Tambun, Manjul and Danau Seluluk.

The emergency response efforts that have been carried out by BPBD are coordinating with the sub-district head, local police chief, conducting field checks and urging the public to be vigilant about securing their belongings if at any time the water debit rises and prepares refugee places in mosques and terminals.

In addition, the Seruyan Regency BPBD TRC together with the Manjul Sub-district Head distributed assistance in the form of logistics to affected victims. The Regent of Seruyan is preparing to determine the status of Emergency Response for Flood and Landslide Disaster Management.
