Allegedly Due To Electrical Overload, Residents' Houses In Kembangan Burned, Losses Reached IDR 2.5 Billion

JAKARTA - Another fire incident hit residential areas on Menara 2 Street, RT 004/005, South Meruya Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta on Thursday, February 24, evening.

Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head Sjukri Bahanan confirmed the fire incident. His party received a report of a fire at 20:03 western Indonesia time.

His party also deployed 8 units of fire engines with 40 personnel to extinguish the fire.

The fire was successfully cooled by officers around 21.00 western Indonesia time. Then the fire suppression operation was completed at 21:54 western Indonesia time.

"The alleged cause is due to an electrical overload," said Sjukri to reporters, Thursday, February 24, evening.

The fire scorched a house building area of 150 square meters. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of this fire. The occupants of the house consisting of 1 family head (KK) with 3 people were rescued.

"The loss is estimated at IDR 2.5 billion," he said.
