Doctor Reisa: 7 Out Of 10 COVID-19 Cases Have Healed
JAKARTA - Government spokesperson for handling COVID-19, Reisa Broto Asmoro stated that currently 7 out of 10 cases of COVID-19 have been declared cured.
"The total number of recovered patients is 158,405 cases. The recovery rate is 71 percent. This figure is quite high, which means that 7 out of 10 people affected by COVID-19 have recovered," Reisa said in a live broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube account, Monday, 14 September.
Today there are an additional 3,141 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 221,523 cases. Then, the cases recovered increased by 3,395 and a total of 158,405 people recovered. The number of cases died increased by 118 people and the total was 8,841 people.
In addition, Reisa also said that the number of active cases of COVID-19 today decreased compared to yesterday. Active cases are people who have confirmed positive and are still being treated or are in self-isolation.
"If we look at the active cases, there has actually been a decline in several places, where the number of active cases per day is 54,277. It is lower than the previous day, which was 54,649 cases," Reisa explained.
Furthermore, the province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 879 new cases and a total of 55,099 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by East Java, which has 343 new cases with a total of 38,431 cases. West Java has 203 new cases and a total of 14,591 cases. South Sulawesi has 185 new cases and a total of 13,476 cases. Then, Central Java has 171 new cases and a total of 17,913 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,494 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 365 cases recovered, Central Java with an increase of 242 cases recovered, and West Java with an increase of 164 cases recovered.
Reisa asked the public to continue to adhere to health protocols by carrying out their part in carrying out the 3M principles (washing hands, maintaining distance, and using masks) while the government continues to carry out 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment).
"Resolving the pandemic with 3M to break the chain must be done simultaneously throughout Indonesia. Indonesia certainly can," concluded Reisa.
