Junior Detainee Dies In Cilegon Police Cell, Police Confiscate Chunks Of Cement
CILEGON - Police have named six suspects in a case of alleged beatings that resulted in the death of a prisoner with the initials AG at the detention center at the Cilegon Police. The 6 suspects had the initials ASB, HY, M, JP, FA, and DA.
The Head of the Cilegon Police for the Banten Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police Sigit Haryono, said that this case had been upgraded from an investigation to an investigation.
"The Cilegon Police detainee died when he was referred to the Cilegon City Krakatau Medika Hospital (RSKM), Friday, February 18. Regarding this case, the status has been upgraded from investigation to investigation. Then we have also carried out an autopsy on the victim's body," said Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police Sigit Haryono, when confirmed, Monday 21 February.
Sigit explained that the incident began when the victim entered the cell room of the Cilegon Police Detention Center. AS, who feels old in the cell, tries to communicate with the victim.

However, in that communication, continued Sigit, the victim responded curtly, so that the US got angry and beat AG.
"The victim (AG) answered in a high or curt tone, so that the US suspect was offended and beat him. This caused 5 other suspects to see the US hitting AG and immediately provoked them so that together they carried out violence against the detainees on behalf of AG," he said.
In this incident, the police already have a number of pieces of evidence.
"With evidence of 1 jacket, 1 shorts, 1 roll of carpet, 2 plastic water bottles and chunks of cement," explained Sigit Haryono.
For this incident, the suspects were subject to Article 170 Paragraph 2 to 3 with a sentence of 12 years in prison.
