Police Find Alleged Misappropriation Of 61 Tons Of Bulk Oil In Makassar
JAKARTA - The National Police's Food Task Force found allegations of fraud in the use of 61.18 tons of bulk cooking oil in Makassar. Cooking oil that should be distributed to traditional markets is actually used by certain companies.
"The use of bulk cooking oil for household needs but by the perpetrators being transferred to this industry is more expensive than the bulk", said the Head of the National Police's Food Task Force, Inspector General Helmy Santika, to reporters on Monday, February 21.
The results of the temporary investigation of tens of tons of bulk cooking oil came from South Kalimantan. Then brought to Makassar to be used as industrial raw materials.
"About 61.18 tons of bulk cooking oil comes from South Kalimantan and goes to Makassar", said Helmy.
Currently, the alleged misuse of cooking oil is being investigated. The collection of evidence and clues has been carried out to find out the reason behind it.
"The investigation is being carried out, the National Police's Food Task Force and the South Sulawesi Task Force are currently investigating", said Helmy.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief of the Food Task Force for the National Police, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, said that during the investigation several witnesses would be questioned. Including the companies that use bulk cooking oil.
"We are still investigating and will examine several witnesses from the company", said Whisnu.
