PPKM Extended, All Agglomeration Areas In Java, DIY, And Bali Enter Level 3
JAKARTA - The government has extended the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Java-Bali for the next week from February 22 to 27, 2022.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed that the number of areas included in the Level 3 PPKM assessment was increasing. Currently, all agglomeration areas in Java and Bali Province are in Level 3.
"In addition, there are also many City Regencies that are included in the Level 3 assessment, including Solo Raya and Semarang Raya. For the agglomeration areas of Greater Jakarta, Bali, DIY, Greater Bandung, Greater Surabaya, Malang Raya, they are currently at Level 3," said Luhut in virtual press conference, Monday, February 21.
In detail, the regencies/cities included in the Jabodetabek agglomeration are Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi. Greater Bandung includes Bandung City, Bandung Regency, Cimahi, and West Bandung.
Greater Semarang includes Semarang, Kendal, Demak, Ungaran, and Purwodadi. Greater Surabaya includes Surabaya, Gresik, Lamongan, Bangkalan, Mojokerto, and Sidoarjo.
Then, DIY covers Yogyakarta, Sleman, Bantul, Kulon Progo, Gunung Kidul. Solo Raya which includes the cities of Solo, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Klaten, Wonogiri, Karanganyar, Sragen.
Solo Raya includes Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Klaten, Wonogiri, Sukoharjo, Karanganyar, Sragen, and Solo. All regions in Bali Province are also included in PPKM Level 3.
Luhut revealed that the increase in the level of assessment in each of these areas was due to the increase in hospitalization rates.
"Regarding the details regarding this regulation, it will be stated in the Inmendagri which will be issued this afternoon," he said.
Luhut also said that currently there are several regencies/cities that are included in PPKM Level 4.
