Task Force: 321 Rejang Lebong Residents Exposed To COVID-19

REJANG LEBONG - The Task Force (Satgas) for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, said that 321 residents of the area were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Spokesperson for the Rejang Lebong Regency COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force and Head of the Health Service Syahfawi said the number of local residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 was from January 1 to February 19, 2022.

"From the number of residents who were confirmed positive, 76 people have finished undergoing isolation or recovered, while six other patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital, and 239 other patients are undergoing independent isolation at their respective homes," he said, quoted by Antara, Saturday. , February 19.

He explained that cases of residents of the area who were declared exposed to COVID-19 every day continued to increase so they had to be careful so that they did not continue to increase by always implementing the 5M health protocol.

The residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, he said, were spread in several sub-districts including in the Curup District with 130 cases, then Central Curup District 56 cases, East Curup 51 cases.

Furthermore, South Curup District has 38 cases, Selupu Rejang 19 cases and North Curup District 12 cases, Bermani Ulu Raya District five cases, Sindang Beliti Ulu (SBU) five cases, Bermani Ulu three cases, Sindang Kelingi one case and in Binduriang District one case .

As for the achievements of the COVID-19 vaccination which was carried out in 15 sub-districts, he added, 184,675 people or 84.77 percent of the target of 217,861 people participated in the 1st dose.

Meanwhile, the achievement of vaccination for dose 2 was 126,187 people or 57.92 percent, and vaccination for dose 3 was 5,093 or 2.34 percent.

He appealed to the people of the area to always comply with the 5M health protocol, which is to always wear a mask when doing activities outside the home, diligently washing hands with soap under running water, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds and reducing mobility.

It is no less important to follow the COVID-19 vaccination to create communal immunity.
