KPK Investigates Other Matters That Judge Itong Has Handled In PN Surabaya

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of bribery by inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat. One of them, by examining the cases that have been handled.

This was done by examining the West Jakarta District Court Judge Dede Suryaman on Friday, February 18 yesterday. He was examined as a witness to complete Itong's file.

"The investigative team has examined witnesses for suspect IIH et al, namely Dede Suryaman, West Jakarta District Court Judge," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri in a written statement quoted on Saturday, February 19.

Ali said there were a number of things that were confirmed by investigators. Including handling a number of cases when Itong was still active as a judge.

"The person concerned was present and confirmed, among others, related to the handling of several cases that had been handled by Tsk IIH while on duty at the Surabaya District Court," he said.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) determined that the inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat and the substitute clerk, Hamdan, were the recipients of bribes. While the giver is a lawyer and representative of PT Soyu Giri Primedika, Hendro Kasiono.

This bribe was given by Hendro Kasiono so that the decision on the PT SGP case was according to his party's wishes, namely that the company was declared disbanded with a divisible asset value of IDR 50 billion.

The money given by Hendro to Hamdan was carried out in the parking lot of the Surabaya District Court Building amounting to Rp140 million as a sign of completion. However, before the money was in the hands of Judge Itong, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT).
