Rhea Chakraborty Bail Application For Drug Case Denied By Mumbai Court
JAKARTA - Rhea Chakraborty's bail application was rejected by the Mumbai court. Earlier, Chakraborty and his brother Showik were arrested over drug use as the cause of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Judge GB Gurao rejected their bail application for the third time in the trial on Narcotics and Psychotropic Drugs (NDPS). Launching Indian Express, Friday, September 11, the public prosecutor, Atul Sarpande opposed their bail because Rhea and Showik were found to be funding and arranging drug transactions.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday, September 8 after following three days of interrogation. Apart from Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, the manager of the Showik and Rajput homes, was arrested by NCB last week.
Currently, NCB is conducting an investigation after receiving a report on the contents of the conversation on two of Rhea's cell phones. The whole point of view of Rajput's death is being carried out by NCB and the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found lifeless at his residence on 14 June. After the Rajput family requested an investigation, the police discovered that Rajput's death was related to drug use and Chakraborty was said to be the Rajput liaison with drugs.
Previously, Rhea's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, denied all allegations of money and drugs but recently Chakraborty was confirmed to be a Rajput broker with the drugs he received. Apart from that, Chakraborty is also working with several members of the Rajput house on this matter.
