KPK Will Follow Up Refunds From The Bekasi Regional Secretary
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will follow up on the refund from the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Bekasi City Government, Renny Hendrawati. This return was made when investigators examined him as a witness on Thursday, February 17 yesterday.
Renny is being questioned by investigators regarding allegations of bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions that ensnared the inactive Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi or Pepen.
"The investigative team received a refund from the witness," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters in a written statement, Friday, February 18.
It was not specified how much money was returned. However, Ali ensured that the money would be further analyzed to complete the file on the alleged corruption conducted by Pepen.
"Later on (the money returned, ed) will be further analyzed to complete the case files for the suspects RE and others," he said.
In addition, during the examination, investigators also investigated a number of things. Including the flow of money received by Pepen.
For information, apart from Renny, the KPK has also received a refund from the Chairman of the Bekasi City DPRD Chairoman J. Putro. The amount of money returned reached Rp. 200 million.
Regarding this money, investigators are still conducting an analysis. The goal is to find a criminal element in the process of giving money.
Previously reported, Rahmat Effendi or Pepen along with eight other people were named by the KPK as suspects for alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions in the Bekasi City Government.
Pepen with the Secretary of the Investment Office and PTSP, M Bunyamin; Head of Jatisari Village, Mulyadi; Jatisampurna Sub-district Head, Wahyudin; and the Head of the Bekasi City Housing, Settlement and Land Office, Jumhana Lutfi, were named as recipients of bribes.
Meanwhile, the four suspected givers are the Director of PT MAM Energindo, Ali Amril; private party, Lai Bui Min; Director of Kota Bintang Rayatri, Suryadi; and the sub-district head of Rawalumbu, Makhfud Saifudin.
