Banking, Capital Market, Insurance Etc. Continue To Operate During The PSBB

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) ensures that it and the financial services industry such as banking, capital market and non-bank financial industry will continue to operate in DKI Jakarta during the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which will start on September 14, 2020.

OJK promised that the financial services industry would continue to operate by implementing the health protocol for preventing COVID-19.

The financial services sector is included in 11 vital business fields that are allowed to continue running with a minimum capacity. This is also in accordance with the provisions regarding the implementation of PSBB as stated in Permenkes Number 9 of 2020 concerning PSBB Guidelines for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, "Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics of OJK Anto Prabowo was quoted as saying from Antara, Friday, September 11.

OJK asks all financial service institutions to continue to provide optimal services to the public by always prioritizing health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

All financial service institutions that continue to operate at a minimum are required to implement health protocols by maintaining physical distance, reducing face-to-face services by maximizing the use of technology, wearing masks, and always maintaining health.

"The work from home arrangement is submitted to the respective Financial Services Institutions, Self Regulatory Organizations in the Capital Market, and Professional Supporting Institutions in the Financial Services Industry," he said.

In connection with the re-enactment of the PSBB in DKI Jakarta, OJK has and will coordinate with the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, and Polda Metro Jaya to ensure the operational services of financial services institutions and investment transactions in the capital market run well.

Financial services sector employees are also asked to always carry their corporate identity cards which can be shown to open road access to the office where they work.
