Despite Being Free From COVID-19, Persib Squad Is Not Yet A Full Team To Face PSIS
JAKARTA - Good news comes from Persib Bandung ahead of appearing in Week 25 of Liga 1 2021/2022. This is related to the condition of the Maung Bandung squad which is now declared free of COVID-19.
Previously, 27 players and staff had tested positive for COVID-19. Where this condition forced the match against PSM Makassar to be postponed. The news about the condition of the Persib squad which is now recovering was conveyed by the coach, Robert Rene Alberts during a press conference ahead of the match against PSIS (Semarang Indonesian Football Association), Monday, February 14.
"All of them (players) have returned from quarantine after recovering from COVID-19. The last two players, I Made Wirawan and Mario Jardel, have also returned to the team hotel", said Robert Rene Alberts.
Although all of his players have finished quarantine, Rene Alberts said that does not mean that all players are ready to face PSIS at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Tuesday, February 15.
Alberts emphasized that not all players were in top condition to play in that match. This is because there is a striking difference between players who have finished quarantine and those who have left. After all, the results show negative COVID-19.
"You can't all play 90 minutes straight away. Even though they have returned from quarantine, they haven't fully recovered", said Robert adding.

For that, Robert will prepare players who are really ready to compete against PSIS. The coach nailed it because Maung Bandung set a target to get three points from this match.
"We need three points, we still have one game (against PSM), and looking at the position with the leader of the table, if we win tomorrow and in the postponed match then we can close the gap with the leader of the table", he explained.
