JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto claimed that the travel bubble strategy applied to the MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) was a success.
"The pre-season test on February 11 to 13 took place safely and smoothly without any significant problems," he said when holding a virtual press conference related to the community activity restrictions (PPKM) evaluation on Monday, February 14.
According to Airlangga, this conducive situation has further increased the government's optimism in organizing the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event.
"This will continue to be improved up to MotoGP in March," he said.
In detail, Airlangga explained that 15 foreign nationals (foreigners) were positive for COVID-19 but had no symptoms and were currently undergoing the isolation process.
