Update On COVID-19 As Of 9 September: New Cases Of 3,307, Heal, Up 2,242
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 29,863 specimens were examined with the results of 3,307 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 203,342 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Wednesday, September 9.
Cases recovered today increased by 2,242, so that a total of 145,200 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 106 people and a total of 8,330 people.
The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,004 new cases and a total of 49,397 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by East Java, which has 370 new cases with a total of 36,712 cases. West Java with 288 new cases and a total of 13,333 cases. Central Java with 281 new cases and a total of 16,133 cases. Then, Bali has 174 new cases and a total of 6,723 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 841 cases recovered. Followed by East Java with an increase of 340 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 162 recovered cases, and South Kalimantan with an additional 107 recovered cases.
Then, there is only 1 province that reported having no new cases today. The province is Papua.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined reached 2,514,670. In details, 2,469,015 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 45,655 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was 92,330 people. Currently, 489 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
