Former KPK Investigator: New Perkom Can Be Revoked At Any Time

JAKARTA - KPK Regulation (Perkom) Number 1 of 2022 concerning KPK Personnel can be revoked at any time along with the change of leadership, said former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Yudi Purnomo. 2023. "The leadership of the next period can easily revoke this Perkom," Yudi said when confirmed, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 11.

According to him, the new regulations made by the KPK leadership have unilaterally dismissed him as a KPK investigator.

Apart from Yudi, there are 58 other KPK employees, including Novel Baswedan, who have been honorably dismissed at his own request for not passing the national insight test (TWK).

"Of course it will not make my way back to the KPK easier," he said.

The former Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission, together with colleagues who have been appointed as National Police ASN, focus on carrying out their duties in the Special Task Force for Corruption Prevention.

The task force is to oversee the National Economic Recovery (PEN) fund, increase the Indonesian Corruption Perceptions Index and prevent leakage in state revenues.

"I am currently working with other friends at the Special Task Force for Corruption Prevention," said Yudi, who is active as an anti-corruption influencer.

As is known, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) issued a new regulation Perkom No. 1 of 2022 concerning KPK Personnel, which was signed by the Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Firli Bahuri.

The regulation was promulgated in Jakarta on January 27, 2022, signed by the Director General of Legislation, Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkuham), and included in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 116 of 2022.

In Perkom Number 1 of 2022 it contains various matters related to staffing, ranging from employee procurement, appointments, to promotions and transfers.

In Article 6 paragraph (4) it is stated that the requirements for KPK employee applicants for civil servant formations are as follows:

The minimum age is 18 years and the highest is 35 years; Never been sentenced to imprisonment based on a court decision that already has permanent legal force for committing a crime with a prison sentence of 2 years or more; Never been dismissed with honor, not at his own request or dishonorably as a civil servant, Indonesian National Army soldier, member of the Indonesian National Police, commission employee or dishonorably dismissed as a private employee. The existence of the rules in Article 6 paragraph (4) letter c is what makes Novel Baswedan and his friends unable to return to being KPK employees. Considering that Novel Baswedan and other former KPK employees were respectfully dismissed not at their own request because they did not pass the TWK.
