Raid On Drug Village In Deli Serdang, Joint Officers Arrest 16 People

MEDAN - Joint officers from the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) carried out raids in villages that were suspected of being a nest of drug trafficking in the Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Officers arrested 16 people.

Deli Serdang Narcotics Head, Kompol Ginanjar Fitriadi, said that during the raid officers arrested 16 men who were drug users and dealers.

There are also the identities of the 16 people arrested for narcotics abuse, each with the initials MAS (20), AZ (21), IWL (18), K (36), SAS (29), A (33), RC (34 ), RW (33), I (62), IN (43), BH (50), MI (37), SR (36), ARM (33), AHW (31) and D (30).

"These dozen people were arrested by joint officers from different locations. After a urine test was carried out, the results were positive for methamphetamine," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 10.

From the arrests of these dozen people, officers also confiscated evidence in the form of nine packages of methamphetamine weighing 1.68 grams, an empty plastic clip block, two sets of shabu or bongs.

Then 16 sheets of empty plastic clips, one glass pipe with spots of methamphetamine and two shabu shovels made of sharpened plastic pipettes.

Kompol Ginanjar said the raid was carried out based on public reports regarding the rampant drug trafficking in the Deli Serdang Regency area.

"We will continue to explore this case by conducting an investigation and carrying out the investigation process," he said.
