Considered Helping, Deputy Governor Of DKI Opens Opportunity For Expanded Crowd Free Night

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, said that his party opened the opportunity for the implementation of crowd-free night (CFN) in Jakarta to be expanded to several points.

Riza said the potential for the expansion of the CFN was considered because it was proven to reduce crowds in public spaces at night. Thus, it can suppress the spread of COVID-19.

"So far, it has been very helpful. We will see in the next few days whether the corridor needs to be added or maintained or reduced", said Riza at DKI City Hall, Tuesday, February 8.

The Gerindra Party politician said that the plan to expand the CFN is still under discussion with the Polda Metro Jaya.

"We'll see in the next few days. This is new. The suggestion from the Kapolda was very good regarding the CFN which was during the new year. Two years ago we also implemented it", said Riza.

It is known, the crowd-free night activity is held from 00.00 to 04.00 WIB. Director of Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, said there were 10 points of CFN implementation. The scheme will be implemented every day.

"What is usually Saturday and Sunday nights is only in Sudirman Thamrin, starting last night we carried out at 10 points and every night", said Sambodo.
