Azam Khan Examined By The Criminal Investigation Police Of The Police As Witness In The Hate Speech Case In Kalimantan Where Jin Throws Children
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police continues to develop a case of alleged hate speech regarding Kalimantan where the genie dumped a child with the suspect Edy Mulyadi. Development is done by examining Azam Khan.
"Bareskrim Polri has examined brother AK as a witness," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Friday, February 4.
The inquest took place on Wednesday, February 2. In the examination which lasted for 7 hours, Azam Khan was asked dozens of questions.
"The examination took place from 10 to 17.00 with 30 questions," said Ramadhan.
For information, Azam Khan had attracted attention because of his statement about Kalimantan. He said only monkeys wanted to move to Kalimantan, or to be more precise, the new state capital (IKN).
The statement was delivered by Azam Khan in the video. At that time, he sat next to Edy Mulyadi who was discussing IKN.
Meanwhile, Edy Mulyadi has been named a suspect in the alleged hate speech case regarding Kalimantan, where the genie dumped their child. In addition, Edy was detained for 20 days.
In this case, Edy Mulyadi is suspected of violating Article 45 a paragraph 2 juncto 28 paragraph (2) of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE). Then, Article 14 paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 15 of Law No. 1 of 1946 concerning criminal law regulations, and Article 156 of the Criminal Code.
